Only 6 out of 107. That’s how many of the largest U.S. financial institutions were run by women in 2019.
Fast forward to 2024, and the numbers are still bleak:
- 10.4% (52) of Fortune 500 CEOs are women
- 9% (270) of Russell 3000 CEOs are women
- 7.8% (39) of S&P 500 CEOs are women
Why? A lack of mentorship, limited managerial support, and work-life balance challenges are just some of the barriers keeping women from leadership roles in finance.
This is what FARE is committed to change—breaking down barriers, expanding opportunities, and ensuring women have the support they need to lead.
It’s time to shift these numbers in the right direction. Share your thoughts in the comments!
