Undergrad Intern – Integrated Marketing

 

Location: The intern candidate must be able to commute into the San Mateo, CA, Rancho Cordova, CA, or New York City, NY office each week.

 

Position Summary: 

Our Integrated Marketing team designs and executes integrated marketing campaigns (including email, web content and advertising) aligned with Sales’ key priorities. We are determining strategy and tactics, drafting content (emails, advertising, web promotions and web pages) as well as deploying emails, paid social and programmatic digital advertising.

 

The Integrated Marketing team is a great place to learn about the asset management industry and marketing. Our team manages integrated marketing campaigns including advertising, email and web content promoting our best opportunity products and services.  Our team is a seasoned group of experts that enjoy what they do and are fun to work with.

 

Team Culture:

We have a very positive and collaborative team culture. Our team partners with other teams across US Marketing (Client Marketing, Investment Marketing, Alternatives Marketing, ETF Marketing and Institutional Marketing) as we are working to develop, optimize and monitor marketing campaigns. We also work with other teams across the organization including Distribution Analytics (does campaign and client reporting and generates insights), Social Media (manages the FT accounts on Twitter, Facebook, LinkedIn) and Corporate Communications (press releases, internal communications). Additionally, we work with an external media agency to manage our media plan.

 

An Integrated Marketing Intern at Franklin Templeton can expect to learn:

·       Knowledge of asset management industry

·       Knowledge of digital advertising and marketing automation tactics

·       Campaign planning and tracking

 

Key Responsibilities Can Include:

1.     Competitive advertising analysis: research competitor advertising, identify trends and effective strategies and prepare presentation and report out to marketing team. Also create a library of competitor samples for marketers to reference.

2.     Write promotional emails, paid search advertising posts for Google and Bing and possibly web pages/promotions.

3.     Learn strategies to measure and optimize digital marketing campaigns, document testing results, cull insights as well as identify new testing ideas.

 

Ideal Qualifications:

·       Interest in marketing/advertising

·       Detail oriented and thorough

·       Strong writing skills/creativity are a plus!

Compensation Range: This is a full-time internship where students will work approximately 35-37.5 hours per week and earn competitive hourly pay of $24-30 USD per hour. There are several factors taken into consideration in making compensation decisions including but not limited to location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.
