Department Title: Undergrad Intern – US Sales Training

 

Location: The intern candidate must be able to commute into the Rancho Cordova, CA office each week. 

 

Position Summary: 

The US Sales Training team aligns with top sales initiatives, providing education and consulting skills to upskill the sales team and drive performance.

 

Training falls under 4 pillars:

  1. Product and vehicles (including Alts)
  2. Sales process (selling skills)
  3. Onboarding
  4. Technology

A US Sales Training Intern at Franklin Templeton can expect to learn:

  • Franklin Templeton’s focus funds and alternative investments.
  • What it takes to collaborate with many business units to build and deliver content.
  • How to communicate across various levels, departments, and regions. (i.e., The sales team and leaders, client portfolio managers and product specialist.
  • Basic knowledge of Camtasia for video production and editing.
  • Become proficient at using Articulate Rise 360 to create and design self-study modules.

 

Key Responsibilities Can Include:

  • Work with subject matter experts to create training content on funds, vehicles and basic financial concepts for US, APAC and EMEA regions.
  • Partner with Sr. Sales Trainer to coordinate, prepare and facilitate weekly sales training meetings and US onboarding.
  • Assist in developing and executing training for new product launches.

  • Foundational investment knowledge
  • Some sales/client-facing experience
  • Strong interest in financial markets
  • Strong writing and communication skills
  • PowerPoint skills
  • Ability to work independently
  • Pro-active and results-oriented

Compensation Range: This is a full-time internship where students will work approximately 37.5 hours per week and earn competitive hourly pay of $26 USD per hour. There are several factors taken into consideration in making compensation decisions including but not limited to location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. At Franklin Templeton, we apply a total reward philosophy where all aspects of compensation and benefits are taken into consideration in determining compensation.
