Undergrad Intern – Alternatives Marketing
Location: The intern candidate must be able to commute into the New York City office each week.
Position Summary:
Franklin Templeton continues to expand our alternative investment capabilities and build innovative products through the acquisition and utilization of independent specialist investment managers, each of whom has deep expertise in a specific asset class and long-term experience managing assets for some of the largest institutions in the world.
The Alternatives Marketing team is responsible for helping position Franklin Templeton as a leader in the alternative investments space. Having launched the Alternatives by Franklin Templeton brand in 2022, our efforts are focused on U.S. Wealth Management providing one relationship with access to a diversified platform of alternative asset capabilities backed by specialist investment managers with deep expertise in their domain.
Alternatives are a fast-growing group of asset classes and a core focus for Franklin Templeton. Being a part of not only where our firm is focused, but also where the overall financial industry is focused, is an exciting opportunity. Until recently, alternatives were mainly used by institutions in search of additional sources of growth and income, increased strategic diversification, and tools to manage risk as part of a total portfolio strategy. Additionally, high investor capital thresholds, prohibitive investment minimums, and limits on liquidity have meant that only institutions and other large investors could access alternative investments. Today, with product innovation, individual investors are able to access these investment options.
Our goal as a team is to help educate advisors on why and how to allocate alternative investments into their clients’ portfolios, and from there, choose Alternatives by Franklin Templeton as their provider of choice.
Being a part of this growth area will allow you to see the impact our efforts make on building awareness and increasing sales.
