Federated Hermes, Inc., a global leader in active, responsible investing, is seeking a Security Awareness Specialist to join our Information Security department based in our Warrendale, Pennsylvania office.

What You’ll Do

As part of Federated Hermes’ Global Technology Organization, you will be responsible to:

  • Monitor and identify top human risks to the organization and behaviors needed to change to mitigate risks.
  • Develop, manage and implement a positive information security awareness program, which focuses on changing behaviors.
  • Lead the creation of awareness deliverables and learning content about complex technical issues in layman’s terms.
  • Leverage various channels for effective delivery of deliverables and content to end users.
  • Measure the usage of the content and its effectiveness and develop metrics.
  • Incorporate information security awareness into classroom and virtual learning, including new hire orientation, new manager training, and other events.
  • Establish an information security awareness network with key stakeholders throughout the organization to understand risks and business objectives.
  • Own and manage relationships with information security education and awareness related vendors.
  • Will be responsible for the day-to-day operation of the phishing assessment program.
  • Measure and report phishing campaign effectiveness.
  • Measure and report attendance and effectiveness of remedial phishing training.

This position offers a hybrid schedule (in-office/remote) and is located in Federated Hermes’ Warrendale, Pennsylvania office (15086).

 

The Expertise We are Looking For

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience required. In lieu of a degree, a comparable combination of education and professional and/or military experience may be considered
  • Minimum 3 years of work experience as an information security analyst, project leader in information security or an information technology department, or in an organizational/talent development role implementing and delivering technology related training required.
  • Experience deploying, delivering and measuring effectiveness of awareness/education initiatives to a large audience, leveraging LMS, webcasts, and other technology required; experience with information security awareness programs preferred.
  • Knowledge of information security topics and awareness of the current information security threat landscape required.
  • Technical acumen with Microsoft Office suite and MS 365 required.
  • Project management experience working with global teams and adapting content for multiple geographies preferred.
  • Experience working with KnowB4 and PowerBI preferred.
  • Familiarity with local and regional regulatory information security requirements preferred.
