Federated Hermes has an opportunity for an Intermediate Investment Analyst for our Pittsburgh headquarters. This position is within structured products and you will be a member of the Fixed Income group, which manages $550 Billion in assets. As an Intermediate Investment Analyst, you will conduct in-depth research and analysis on individual credits as well as sectors in the structured products asset class (ABS) and you will be a key team member in the investment-decision process for portfolios, supporting portfolio managers. MAJOR DUTIES:

• Conduct fundamental credit analysis to support investment decisions
• Analyze deals – including originator due diligence, collateral analysis, rating agency methodologies, cash-flow modelling
• Provide buy, sell, and hold recommendations
• Maintain surveillance reporting on portfolio holdings
• Conduct periodic fundamentals and risk reporting
• Develop and maintain working rapport with external analysts and other industry sources
• Maintain on-going and frequent communication with the traders
• Perform other related duties as assigned

POSITION SPECIFICATIONS:

• Bachelor’s degree required. MBA preferred
• CFA or progress toward CFA preferred
  Minimum of 3 years of structured products experience required, preferably with knowledge of non-US ABS
• Solid accounting and finance experience required
• Proficiency with Excel, Bloomberg and INTEX required
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with ability to work in a team environment
• Solid work ethic with superior analytical skills and the ability to multitask
