Federated Hermes, Inc. is seeking a Financial Writer, Content Management, to join our headquarters in Pittsburgh, PA. The successful candidate will create compelling content to position and promote Federated Hermes’ products and services across all channels and market segments, with a focus on written content, data visualization, and video.

What You’ll Do:

• Create impactful messaging to position, educate, and promote all Federated Hermes’ investment strategies, products and services.
• Ensure consistent, clear communication that informs clients about investment offerings.
• Create content analyzing external factors affecting investment strategies.
• Function as an in-house financial reporter regarding existing portfolios; assimilate data, including insights of analysts and portfolio managers; develop commentaries, articles, etc.
• Act as an in-house videographer/editor and film videos ‘on set’ in the Federated office, work on postproduction, review scripts, edit footage, obtain compliance sign-off, and publish across relevant sites/channels.
• Edit investment commentaries and publications on global markets and the economy.
• Liaise with in-house senior investment experts, Product Managers and Distribution in the development of communications.
• Translate statistical data into compelling visual graphics.

The Expertise We are Looking For

• Bachelor degree required; Bachelor degree in finance, economics, or an advanced degree in communications or other relevant field preferred.
• 3-5 years of relevant writing experience in marketing (i.e. presentations, collateral, websites, blogs, etc.), financial journalism, or financial writing required.
• Ability to write clear compelling copy and to edit to a high standard required.
• Proven interest in, or existing experience of video filming or editing required.
• Basic working knowledge of domestic and global stock and bond market required.
• Experience creating data visualization and video content required.
• Experience with a Wall Street, investment counselor, or mutual fund organization preferred.
• Financial journalism including financial reporting, analysis and communication preferred.
