The Financial Alliance for Racial Equity (FARE) continues to support students at Historically Black Colleges and Universities (HBCUs) in building successful careers in the financial services industry. Launched in 2023, the FARE HBCU SIE Scholarship Program provides vital financial aid for students to cover the cost of the Securities Industry Essentials (SIE) exam and study materials—an essential step toward entering and excelling in this competitive field.
This year’s scholarship recipients have demonstrated academic excellence, determination, and a shared commitment to FARE’s mission of promoting diversity and inclusion in financial services.
The FARE team and scholarship judges celebrated the selected recipients during a virtual award ceremony. Students had the opportunity to share their backgrounds, their motivations for pursuing the SIE designation, and the goals they aim to achieve after earning it. Scholarship judges offered valuable words of wisdom and advice, encouraging students as they embark on their professional journeys. Thank you to our judges for their time and dedication in this year’s process:
