Black History Month: Lauren Simmons

This week, we’re shifting our focus to the future—highlighting emerging talents and youth-led innovations shaping the financial industry. The next generation of changemakers is here, and they’re breaking barriers, redefining success, and building a more inclusive financial future.

To kick it off, we’re celebrating Lauren Simmons.

At just 23 years old, Lauren became the youngest full-time female trader at the New York Stock Exchange and only the second Black woman in its 226-year history.

Today, she’s a financial education advocate and an inspiration for aspiring professionals everywhere.
