Federated Hermes, Inc., a global leader in active, responsible investing, is seeking an Intermediate Application Developer to join our Enterprise Data and Reporting department based in our Warrendale, Pennsylvania office.

What You’ll Do

As part of Federated Hermes’ Global Technology Organization, you will be responsible to:

·       Design, write, modify, test and maintain programs, scripts and modules to meet changing business needs with little supervision

·       Develop and publish database, program, script and test specifications

·       Effectively utilize and optimize system resources appropriate to the business needs

·       Adhere to departmental Software Development Life Cycle standards (programming, deployment, testing, documentation, incident reporting, etc.)

·       Perform incident management, root cause analysis, system enhancements and bug fixes as needed

·       Collaborate with Business Unit, Strategy and Business Analysis teams to understand requirements and business needs

·       With supervision, prepares project estimates for design, coding, and testing as needed.  Participate in sprint planning, reviews, and retrospectives

·       Determine and publish design specifications and test results and perform design review and code reviews.  Obtain approvals and prepare code deployments to development, staging, and production systems

This position offers a hybrid schedule (in-office/remote) and is located in Federated Hermes’ Warrendale, Pennsylvania office (15086).

The Expertise We are Looking For

·       Bachelor Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, a comparable technical/engineering field, or equivalent work experience required

·       Minimum of 2-5 years of team-oriented development experience in a relational database environment required

·       Minimum of 2-5 years of experience with SQL required

·       Experience with C# programming and PowerShell scripting required

·       Working knowledge of API Management platforms required, familiarity with Azure APIM preferred.

·       Experience with API Design preferred

·       Experience with Integration tools (Boomi or Informatica) preferred

·       Experience working on Scrum/Agile projects, Azure DevOps (TFS) and git code version control preferred

·       Experience with Continuous Integration/Continuous Delivery and automated unit testing preferred

·       Experience with Cloud platforms (Azure, AWS or Google) and Cloud Native technology preferred
