FARE and the CFP Board Center for Financial Planning are launching the 2025 FARE CFP® Certification Inclusion Scholarship. The scholarship provides financial support to individuals from communities with historically limited access to financial planning careers as they work toward obtaining CFP® certification.
The scholarship offers up to $7,000 per recipient to cover the costs of an undergraduate- or certificate-level CFP Board Registered Program, a crucial step toward obtaining CFP® certification. Since its inception, this scholarship has helped foster a more inclusive pipeline of financial professionals, equipping them with the knowledge and credentials to succeed in the industry.
“Expanding opportunities in financial services is essential to building a profession that truly serves all communities,” said Nicole Ridley, Executive Director of FARE. “This scholarship is a direct investment in the future of financial services, supporting aspiring CFP® professionals who will drive change and innovation in the industry.”
To be eligible, applicants must be U.S. citizens or permanent residents, demonstrate financial need, and commit to increasing access and representation in financial services.
Scholarship awards will be disbursed in two installments, and recipients must provide proof of enrollment in an eligible CFP Board Registered Program.
The application deadline is April 8, 2025, and award decisions will be announced by June 2, 2025. Interested applicants can find more details and apply at the CFP Board website.
